About The Position

A Retail Sales Employee is a vital part of our customer-facing team, dedicated to providing exceptional service in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers, guiding them through their shopping experience, answering inquiries, and ensuring that the store remains presentable, organized, and fully stocked at all times. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or retail certifications are an asset.
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, but not required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn new systems, processes, and product information quickly.
Demonstrated reliability and punctuality with a flexible schedule to accommodate days, weekends, events, and holidays as needed.
Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Basic math skills for cash register operations and inventory counts.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly upon entering the store with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
Assist customers with locating products, making recommendations based on needs and preferences, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have about merchandise or services.
Engage in active selling techniques, including upselling and cross-selling related products.
Meet or exceed sales targets as set by store management through persuasive communication and deep product knowledge.
Process transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, credit, and return procedures accurately.
Maintain clean and visually appealing displays by restocking shelves, arranging merchandise according to planograms, and implementing seasonal or promotional layouts.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management in a timely manner.
Receive and inspect shipments for accuracy and damage, record inventory movements, and participate in regular stock counts and audits.
Ensure the store environment is safe and orderly by performing light cleaning tasks, reporting hazards, and adhering to health and safety protocols.
Work collaboratively with fellow team members and management to achieve store objectives, participate in team meetings, and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture.
