About The Position

Planet 13 Florida is hiring a part-time Sales Associate (Budtender) in Summerfield, Florida. The role provides customer service through education, product awareness, and solutions tailored to customers’ needs. The Sales Associate assists customers with medical cannabis products and completes dispensing and payment transactions in accordance with Florida requirements. Training is provided; prior medical marijuana or dispensary experience is not required. The position involves regular use of hands and communication, and frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and bending or crouching. Employees may occasionally climb or balance, taste or smell, and lift or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment may occasionally involve heat, usually has moderate noise, and may include exposure to cannabis, cannabis odors, and cannabis smoke.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of prior customer-service-related experience involving direct patient or customer interaction.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass drug testing and a Level 2 Florida State background check.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience in specialty retail, hospitality, or health and wellness is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet, assist, and provide information and necessary services to customers.
Verify customer identification and medical cannabis card status.
Discuss products and make appropriate recommendations based on the customer’s physician recommendation.
Access and properly use Florida’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) when dispensing products.
Dispense medication and collect payment through the POS register or upon delivery using approved payment methods.
Maintain online pickup orders.
