About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales and customer relationships by providing strong customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance, with a focus on customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate helps customers select suitable merchandise, maintains visual and inventory standards, supports shipment and restocking activities, and contributes to an organized, welcoming sales environment. This position is based at the DTLR store at Concord Mills in Concord, North Carolina.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to support customer service, accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Use fashion and trend knowledge to meet customer needs by selling appropriate merchandise, maintaining DTLR standards, and building customer relationships.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide each customer with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, while maintaining an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
Help prevent employee and customer theft.
Maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
