About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe’s, you provide friendly, professional customer service and help customers find products and services for their home improvement needs. You welcome customers, answer questions, assist with product selection and handling, and help ensure orders and deliveries are accurate and on time. The role is assigned to a store department based on hiring needs and skills; the listed title identifies Inside Lawn & Garden. Daily work may include organizing and replenishing merchandise, preparing products for customers, and guiding them through shopping or checkout. Associates may cross-train in other store areas and occasionally load merchandise. Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform the job.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
• Follow lifting guidelines that limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
• Use powered equipment as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Help customers locate, select, and handle merchandise.
• Downstock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver customer service.
• Prepare department merchandise for customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, cutting drywall, or cutting blinds.
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Occasionally travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores, if needed.
