About The Position

Express is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to provide a great in-store shopping experience while assisting with stocking, cleaning, folding merchandise, and other store tasks. The role includes maintaining an organized and safe store, supporting product launches, delivering customer service, processing transactions, resolving customer issues, and encouraging participation in credit and loyalty programs. Other essential functions may be assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant job experience; the posting lists 0–2 years.
• Proficient with technology, including iPads and registers.
• Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
• Meets the position’s physical requirements.
• Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with customers, the sales leadership team, and associates.
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, checkout, fitting room, and stock room so the store is safe and inviting.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and customers.
• Assist with product launch changes according to company standard operating procedures.
• Deliver all aspects of the customer experience model.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately to reduce customer wait times.
• Resolve customer service issues positively, determine a resolution or escalate them, and communicate issues and resolutions to Store Management.
• Explain credit and loyalty program benefits and encourage customer participation.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and folding merchandise.
• Perform other essential functions as directed by a supervisor.
