Uncharted - Sales Associate
About The Position
Sales Associates deliver world-class service, achieve sales goals, and maintain merchandising standards in a fun, fast-paced retail environment. They provide customers with a distinctive shopping experience using the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and report directly to the Store Team Leader and other members of management. The role also includes ringing up customers at the POS according to company guidelines, processing and stocking new product, recovering the sales floor, and cleaning throughout the store. At select locations, associates may perform ear piercings after comprehensive training and provide a safe, sanitary experience in accordance with applicable state, federal, and CDC guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous specialty retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to multitask while attending to customers and adapting to business needs.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Professional conduct, demeanor, and attire in compliance with the company dress code.
- Ability to lift and mobilize items up to 50 pounds using appropriate safety techniques.

Responsibilities
- Model the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and consistently deliver world-class service.
- Greet customers warmly, identify their needs through open-ended questions, explain relevant product features and benefits, suggest additional items, and thank them and invite them to return.
- Act as a TPS brand ambassador and build customer loyalty through friendly, attentive, and respectful service.
- Contribute to a positive work environment through respectful and ethical behavior, honest communication, and professionalism.
- Maintain professional attire, demeanor, and appearance in compliance with the company dress code.
- Support sales efforts and initiatives across business channels to help maximize company sales.
- Capture accurate and valid customer information at the POS, remain aware of current promotions, and process promotions correctly.
- Participate enthusiastically in required training and development, using available training resources.
- Prepare incoming products for the sales floor and merchandise products according to company visual guidelines and standards.
- At select locations, perform ear piercings after comprehensive training while following applicable safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain a fundamental working knowledge of computers, systems, and programs relevant to the position.
- Maintain store cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Complete other tasks as directed by store management within assigned time frames.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
