About The Position

GNC Sales Associates help customers discover products suited to their needs and goals, create a welcoming shopping experience, and represent the company’s “Live Well” philosophy. This is a part-time hourly position. Associates greet customers, provide product advice and recommendations, and work toward personal and store sales and productivity goals. When not assisting customers, they restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, fulfill online orders, and complete cleaning duties. They also support store management with opening, closing, cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Ability to frequently reach, bend, twist, and perform repetitive hand-to-finger motions.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally, and push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and reach and bend.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
• Ability to use a computer for up to 60% of the workday.
• Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights or mornings, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
• Passion for discovering customers’ needs and goals and helping them choose suitable products.
• Product knowledge and ability to make recommendations based on customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet and welcome customers and create a welcoming store environment.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products using product knowledge.
• Work to achieve and exceed store and personal sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and promptly in accordance with company guidelines.
• Learn product features, advantages, and benefits, and stay informed about nutritional, wellness, and fitness news.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, and perform cleaning duties.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and retail store operations, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Promote GNC’s “Live Well” message to customers.
• Work varied hours and days to meet store needs, including opening or closing shifts, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
