About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store appearance, and supporting daily operations. Key duties include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, organizing departments, and handling customer inquiries and special orders. The associate will also be responsible for loss prevention and responding to radio requests, with additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Hardware experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.
Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise.
Maintain assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked.
Execute daily operational goals/priorities and move with "Ace Pace".
Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
Watch for shoplifters and act in line with Elder's policy to discourage shoplifting.
Respond to radio requests.
Other duties as assigned.
