About The Position

The Sales Associate at Cosmoprof creates a memorable shopping experience and helps customers with their hair and beauty needs, including hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails. The role involves building customer relationships, recommending products, sharing product and promotional information, and supporting customers in the Loyalty program. Cosmoprof provides product training and education. Associates also help maintain an appealing, professional store environment and communicate inventory issues. Work schedules and hours vary to accommodate different needs, subject to the business's scheduling requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Able to follow direction.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The role involves long periods of standing and walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about the Loyalty program and enroll them.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Demonstrate Cosmoprof Culture Values.
• Use product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
