About The Position

The Sales Associate helps establish LensCrafters as a premier destination for vision needs by delivering a high-quality experience to every patient and customer. The role combines sales and customer service with assistance in selecting eyewear and vision solutions, while helping maintain an organized, welcoming store environment.

The position is part-time. Pay is determined by factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum-wage requirements. A competitive bonus and/or commission plan may also be offered. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off or vacation, and employee discounts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, computers, and calculators, along with basic phone and math skills.
• Ability to embrace new technology and change while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to sell using sales skills and accountability for sales results, with a desire to meet goals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivation and demonstrated ability to multitask and respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver the sales plan and company objectives by cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.
• Use optical prescriptions to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and coordinate frames with optical measurements to help customers choose vision solutions.
• Conduct measurements using appropriate optical tools and consult with an Optician as needed.
• Contribute to a positive store environment and foster strong, professional relationships with peers, management, doctors, and support staff (Target Host partners).
• Maintain the appearance of the store and keep displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized.
• Help foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.
