About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate supports selling efforts and customer relationships through strong customer service and sales techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. The position emphasizes customer service, sales, and teamwork. The associate also supports shipments, restocking, pricing, visual standards, inventory presentation, loss prevention, and maintaining an organized sales environment. The role requires reliable transportation and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English for effective communication with management, customers, and coworkers.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving, analytical, detail-orientation, flexibility, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate merchandise, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression, demonstrating an enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies and participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and organized sales environment as directed by store management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
