About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including providing excellent customer service, driving sales, merchandising, and other assigned responsibilities. Work is expected to be professional, courteous, reliable, and results-oriented. Associates help customers identify suitable products, maintain store standards and a neat sales environment, support inventory and shipment tasks, and follow company policies and loss-prevention procedures. The standard work week is a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours. The role requires open availability and flexibility to meet customer and business needs, and may involve working in multiple stores within the assigned district.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer-service work experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimum supervision and take charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships and provide professional, courteous, attentive, honest, and responsive service.
Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable assistance in selecting products.
Apply basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend appropriate merchandise and maintain DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying issues related to store loss or inconsistencies, supporting shrink goals at or below company plan.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support training employees in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Help minimize inventory shrinkage by protecting the store against shoplifting and internal theft and following loss-prevention policies and security procedures.
Follow point-of-sale procedures, balance money taken in during assignments, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and other information needed for effective management.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
