About The Position

Johnny Janosik's is seeking energetic, professional Sales Associates for its Outlet Center in Laurel, Delaware. The role involves assisting showroom customers, recommending furniture and product options, explaining product features, pricing, availability, and financing, and building value to close sales. Associates follow up with customers about potentially relevant future merchandise, work toward sales targets, maintain an organized showroom, prepare new furniture for the sales floor, and collaborate with showroom, sales, management, warehouse, and delivery staff. The position requires working weekends and holidays and includes physical demands involving lifting or moving objects.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous sales or customer service experience.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Comfort working in a fast-paced and competitive sales environment.
Ability to follow up consistently and convert leads into sales.
Strong sense of urgency and closing ability.
Ability to learn and adapt to new products, systems, procedures, and changes.
Dependability, energy, professionalism, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
Initiative to meet assigned sales goals, missions, and objectives.
General math and computer skills.
Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist showroom customers professionally.
Recommend appropriate furniture and product options.
Explain product features, pricing, availability, and financing options.
Build value and confidently close sales.
Follow up with customers, including notifying them about future merchandise of potential interest through the Wish Book.
Drive revenue by consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Maintain a professional and organized showroom environment.
Prepare new furniture and place it on the floor with help from other staff members.
Work individually and as part of a team to open and close the showrooms.
Work closely with the sales team, management, warehouse, and delivery team.
