About The Position

As a Famous Footwear Sales Associate, you provide an excellent shoe-store experience by creating a welcoming environment and building customer loyalty. You stay informed about trends, share your knowledge with customers, and help them find styles that meet their needs and fit well. You contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture and celebrate individual and team successes.

You support daily retail operations, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory, while keeping the store clean, organized, and easy to shop. You engage customers, help drive sales and achieve store goals, communicate clearly with teammates, follow company policies and procedures, seek feedback, and assist with training and development when needed. Other responsibilities may be performed as necessary to meet business needs; overtime may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to build constructive and effective relationships within the store.
• Ability to communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, partnering with the Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 pounds from floor level to above shoulder height using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily store tasks, including pricing, shipment processing, fulfillment, and inventory.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and merchandise easy to shop in accordance with company standards.
• Provide attentive customer engagement and help customers identify suitable styles and brands.
• Share knowledge of trends and make shoe recommendations, helping customers find the right fit.
• Review store performance and drive sales to achieve goals.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with the store team and listen actively to teammates.
• Follow company policies and procedures and seek feedback to improve skills and professional development.
• Promote an inclusive, respectful, positive, and supportive work environment.
• Assist teammates with training and development when needed.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed to meet business needs; work overtime when required.
