About The Position

GNC Sales Associates provide customer-focused service in a retail store, discovering customers’ needs and goals and creating a tailored shopping experience. They welcome customers, advise them about products, and make recommendations based on product knowledge and customer needs while representing GNC’s “Live Well” message. When not serving customers, they restock merchandise, maintain visual merchandising, fulfill online orders, and complete cleaning duties. The position also supports store management with opening, closing, and store operations, including cash handling, inventory counts, deposits, and maintaining store appearance. This is a part-time hourly position. Associates are expected to work varied hours and days, including nights or mornings, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting below the waist and above the shoulders; repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds; push or pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, particularly in stockroom areas.
• Use a computer for up to 60% of the workday.
• Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights or mornings to open or close the store, weekends, and major U.S. holidays when the store is open.

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet and welcome customers and create a welcoming store environment.
• Interact with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products.
• Achieve and exceed store and personal sales and productivity goals.
• Fulfill online orders accurately and on time according to company guidelines.
• Learn product features, advantages, and benefits, and stay current on nutritional, wellness, and fitness news.
• Support store management with opening, closing, and retail store operations, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits.
• Restock products, maintain visual merchandising and store appearance, and perform cleaning duties.
• Promote GNC’s “Live Well” message to customers.
