About The Position

The Sales Associate Store provides professional and courteous service to customers by assisting them on the sales floor. The role helps maintain the store environment through prompt and accurate product placement, merchandising, and salvage, while contributing to the Goodwill Mission.

The position requires working a varied schedule with flexible hours and maintaining a clean, friendly, and safe environment for internal and external customers. Retail or production experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Ability to work a varied schedule and flexible hours.
• Ability to safely move throughout the property.
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 20 pounds.
• Ability to grasp merchandise.
• Ability to visually observe merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• Retail or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently salvage, recover, stock, and merchandise products according to store environment standards.
• Monitor products while assisting customers with fitting rooms or locked cases.
• Communicate issues with merchandise levels or merchandising standards, supply needs, and process-improvement ideas to store management.
• Place products and supplies in the correct areas according to store environment standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and alerting management to customer concerns or requests for additional support.
• Stay familiar with Goodwill store promotions and services to answer inquiries and provide information to customers.
• Maintain store environment standards to ensure a clean, friendly, and safe environment for internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Smile and greet customers and donors; project a positive image of Goodwill through actions and appearance.
• Manage downtime appropriately by working independently and responsibly.
• Maintain confidentiality of sales information.
• Contribute to the Goodwill Mission as a productive and collaborative team member.
