About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring part-time Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSC) for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Washington Avenue in Philadelphia. The Sales Associate serves customers, supports sales and store operations, and helps maintain a welcoming, organized shopping environment. The position is permanent and part-time, with a required minimum of 13 hours per week and the opportunity to work up to 32 hours per week. Preferred availability is 16–32 hours per week. Shifts are flexible and typically last 4–6.5 hours. Work is scheduled on a rotating basis during weekday and weekend daytime and evening hours, and schedules may change to meet store needs. The employee is headquartered at the listed store and may be assigned to other stores in the county or district. Telework is not available. The position offers Affordable Care Act/Bronze Plan medical benefits from the first day of employment. Applicants must be at least 18, meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement, be able to perform the essential job functions, and pass a background investigation. A felony conviction within the prior ten years disqualifies an applicant under the Pennsylvania Liquor Code; other convictions are reviewed case by case.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and help shoppers find products.
• Process sales transactions using a computerized cash register.
• Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
• Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders and load them into vehicles.
• Lift products weighing 30 to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds, including overhead or from a squatting position, while protecting personal safety and the products.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
• Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Follow legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers legally permitted to purchase it.
• Work rotating weekday and weekend daytime and evening shifts as scheduled.
• Work at the listed store and, as operational needs require, potentially at other stores within the county or district.
