About The Position

The Figleaf Sales Associate will be responsible for providing customer service in a professional and courteous manner, run the cash register, maintain inventory, receives, prices, and stock merchandise, answers telephone, utilizes electronic billing program to conduct patient registration, and schedule appointments with professionalism and utmost regard to HIPAA requirements. The Associate assists with/conducts mastectomy fittings, compression fittings and nursing bra fittings.

Responsibilities

  • Providing customer service in a professional and courteous manner
  • Running the cash register
  • Maintaining inventory
  • Receiving, pricing, and stocking merchandise
  • Answering the telephone
  • Utilizing electronic billing program to conduct patient registration
  • Scheduling appointments with professionalism and utmost regard to HIPAA requirements
  • Assisting with/conducting mastectomy fittings, compression fittings and nursing bra fittings
  • Fitting prostheses and bras and customizing recommendations for mastectomy products with each patient
  • Fitting compression garments and ensuring needs are met
  • Accurately identifying and entering patient demographics, insurance, and financial information including in network and out of network benefits through electronic filing systems, EPIC
  • Obtaining patient identification and insurance cards
  • Scanning appropriate information into patient's account
  • Verifying medical necessity in accordance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) standards of communicating relevant coverage and eligibility information to the patient
  • Scrutinizing all registrations to ensure that all necessary information is obtained, including but not limited to any necessary authorization, reaching out to physician offices and/or insurance companies when needed
  • Operating the cash register/Point of Sale System, maintaining accurate inventory and correct pricing by ensuring each item is scanned correctly during sales transaction
  • Merchandising product on the sales floor as directed
  • Cleaning displays and shelves and straightening merchandise on a routine basis
  • Monitoring store traffic and notifying manager or security if there is a suspicion of shoplifting
  • Maintaining a positive and productive working relationship with other members of the department
  • Respecting the confidentiality and privacy needs of the patients, family, and staff
  • Participating in cross training for work in the other stores and rotating to other stores as needed
