About The Position

The Sales Associate promotes and sells merchandise displayed on the showroom floor and works directly with internal and external customers. The role requires reliability, responsibility, dependability, and the ability to thrive in a sales-floor environment. Further responsibilities and requirements will be discussed during the interview process.

Training lasts two weeks, at $15 per hour. After training, pay is $15 per hour or commission, whichever is greater, for the first 90 days; after that, compensation is straight commission. The posting states that salary has no cap. The schedule requires weekend availability and varying shifts. The work environment is indoors and climate-controlled.

Requirements

• Be reliable, responsible, and dependable.
• Thrive on a sales room floor.
• Be able to lift merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds to move furniture as part of the selling process.
• Be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
• Listen and respond to customer needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• Maintain a positive attitude when working with internal and external customers.
• Have knowledge of employment and merchandise-handling procedures.
• Be able to work weekends and varying shifts.
