About The Position

The Sales Associate provides quality customer service and drives product sales. The role requires knowledge of products across store departments, following company policies and visual standards, promoting sales and promotions, and creating a distinctive customer experience that helps acquire and retain customers. The Sales Associate also supports daily store operations, works toward sales goals, and protects company assets and financial information. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

0–2 years of customer service experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and precisely.
Team player passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide extraordinary customer service, including greeting customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periods.
Promote and sell the organization’s services and merchandise.
Set goals to improve selling skills and track overall sales.
Follow company policies, procedures, and standards in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals, as well as company memos.
Assist with daily store operations, including work lists, cleanup lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
Present merchandise to promote and sell products using guidance in the product knowledge manual.
Achieve and/or exceed sales targets and goals.
Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
Attend store staff meetings and tech clinics.
Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring internal controls are accurate and effective and reporting potential fraud risks to management or appropriate officials.
