About The Position

Marimekko is seeking a part-time Sales Associate for its SoHo boutique in New York City. The role involves driving brand awareness and positioning by engaging and inspiring fashion-focused consumers. The Sales Associate will work closely with the Flagship Store Manager and other Sales Associates, reporting directly to the Flagship Store Manager. This position is based in New York City and requires weekend availability.

Requirements

• Work experience in customer service and retail sales
• Interest in art, architecture, design, and fashion
• Ability to be a Marimekko Brand Ambassador in actions, attitude, and appearance
• Proactive and hands-on
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Able to work flexible work hours (including evenings, nights, and weekends sometimes)
• Able to lift at least 15 lbs

Responsibilities

• Execute store operations, including sales fundamentals, operational excellence (keyholder duties, opening/closing, asset control, policy compliance), and store standards/visual merchandising.
• Help promote community-building and brand awareness efforts by executing retail store brand activities, creating and fostering exceptional customer experiences, executing brand activities and events, and building awareness through customer outreach.
• Be a Marimekko Brand Ambassador by establishing, nurturing, and growing the local consumer community through new customer acquisition tactics and relationship building.
