Nice To Haves

Knowledge of cash-handling procedures and experience operating cash registers or POS systems.

Responsibilities

Greet customers courteously and provide exceptional customer service.
Help customers locate products and answer questions about merchandise, prices, and promotions.
Operate cash registers and POS systems to process cash, card, and other electronic payments accurately.
Keep shelves, displays, and product arrangements clean and organized.
Stock shelves, coolers, and displays, rotating and organizing merchandise appropriately.
Monitor inventory and notify a supervisor when items need restocking.
Follow procedures for handling cash, coupons, and discounts.
Maintain knowledge of products, new arrivals, and promotions.
Check expiration dates and remove expired or damaged products.
Follow food safety and handling procedures for perishable items.
Collaborate with team members and assist with opening and closing procedures.
Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
Follow company policies and safety and security protocols.
Assist with cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
