About The Position

Clayton is a single-family home builder focused on attainable housing, sustainable practices, and providing a strong experience for customers and team members. The Sales Assistant supports the sales team and home center general manager by generating leads and helping create a positive home-buying experience. The role involves prospecting and responding to inquiries, demonstrating homes, coordinating appointments and service-related items, following up with customers, and maintaining the office and homes on the property. The position is based at the Oakwood Homes sales location in Delmar, Delaware, and pays $18.00–$21.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for customers using marketing methods such as web marketing, road signage, and flyers.
• Set appointments through prospecting and by responding to advertising calls.
• Answer prospect inquiries.
• Greet prospects visiting the retail location.
• Demonstrate homes to prospects by explaining features and benefits.
• Turn prospects over to a Sales Professional or Manager when applicable.
• Schedule set-up, delivery, and other service-related items.
• Follow up with customers using various contact methods.
• Maintain the office and homes on the property, including cleaning, maintaining the refreshment area, and moving furniture and décor.
• Partner with the manager on exceptions and questions.
• Protect company assets.
• Participate in sales meetings and other company events.
• Assist as needed during marketing promotions and events.
• Contribute to a positive team environment.
• Assist other Sales Professionals as needed and perform miscellaneous duties as required.
