Your career can begin as a Part-Time Sales Assistant, providing a flexible work environment to learn the tricks of the trade, including the prospecting process, sales presentation, and contract management. This entry-level, part-time sales position offers hourly compensation and will not exceed 27 hours per week.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize, multi-task and pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communicator (oral and written) including a desire to ask questions and learn from others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and familiar with the Internet.
  • Reliable, clean transportation required.
  • If an active Real Estate License is held, it must be placed on inactive status during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales Counselor and Sales Associates with all aspects of selling and marketing the community.
  • Open the model in the morning by arriving on time to unlock, turn off exterior lights, check radio, visually inspect interior and exterior for cleanliness, and report deficiencies for correction so the model is ready by 10:00 a.m. (12:00 p.m. Sundays).
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the model and completed inventory, including vacuuming, wiping countertops, emptying trash, and light cleaning between professional cleaning services, especially on Mondays or after heavy customer traffic.
  • Consistently follow up and monitor the model(s) and completed inventory throughout the day for concerns, and unlock spec-home inventory with "open" signs as required.
  • Adhere to all safety program requirements at all times.
  • Meet and greet all incoming customers promptly when the Sales Counselor is not present, obtain registration cards, and attempt to set up follow-up appointments.
  • Assist the Sales Counselor in effectively communicating pertinent information to customers and retrieve appropriate information for follow-up.
  • Maintain an adequate supply of marketing materials and office supplies, and be familiar with procedures to acquire necessary supplies.
  • Assist the Sales Counselor with lead management, enter registration cards into the LMS system, and assign proper follow-up.
  • Maintain the Sales Counselor’s filing system, all contract documents, and process them (contracts, specifications, change orders, bust-out forms, etc.).
  • Maintain current house files and accurate spec inventory in the MLS system, web page, and other inventory outlets.
  • Assist the Sales Counselor and Sales Associate with submitting sales contract packages to the appropriate home office, Construction Managers, designers, or loan officers before Monday morning.
  • Support the construction team by typing letters, making copies, reproducing house files, and faxing information when sales office duties are completed.
  • Contact buyers and vendors to assist with appointments during the building process on an as-needed basis.
  • Prepare an accurate Closing Objectives report and provide copies to all participants in the weekly subdivision sales/construction meeting.
  • Assist in coordinating closings, including scheduling times with the Title Company, realtors, and construction staff, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete and on time.
  • Be available to work at Realtor functions, luncheons, and community grand openings.
  • Help the Sales Counselor market the subdivision and generate traffic through approved methods.
  • Ensure a "lot fit" book is available for all lots and plans on the subdivision program outline and inventory homes.
  • Ensure all "Starts" have complete paperwork with necessary approvals before submitting to Architecture.
  • Close the model in the evening by applicable closing time, turning on exterior lights, visually inspecting for deficiencies, checking window latches, arming the security system, and locking doors.
  • Lock all spec-home inventory and take down "open" signs as required when closing the model.
