Our entry level part-time sales position provides an hourly based compensation and will not exceed 27 hours per week.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize, multi-task and pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communicator (oral and written) including desire to ask questions and learn from others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and familiar with the Internet.
  • Reliable, clean transportation required.
  • If holding an active Real Estate License, the license is to be placed on inactive status during employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Sales Counselor and Sales Associates with all aspects of selling and marketing the community.
  • Opening the model in the morning, which includes unlocking the model(s), turning off exterior lights, checking radio, visually inspecting the interior and exterior for cleanliness, and reporting deficiencies.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the model and completed inventory, which may include vacuuming, wiping countertops, emptying trash, and light cleaning.
  • Consistently following up and monitoring the model(s) and completed inventory throughout the day.
  • Adhering to all safety program requirements.
  • Understanding and adhering to all Company policies and procedures, Core Values and Guiding Principles.
  • Adhering to the Company’s business dress code and grooming practices, and appearing professional at all times.
  • Meeting and greeting all incoming customers promptly when the Sales Counselor is not present, obtaining registration cards, and attempting to set up follow-up appointments.
  • Assisting the Sales Counselor in effectively communicating helpful and pertinent information to the customer.
  • Retrieving appropriate information for the Sales Counselor/Sales Associate to follow up appropriately and professionally.
  • Having a good understanding of the Company’s product, and being able to answer questions pertaining to the building process, area schools, financing, shopping, parks and playgrounds, buyer profile for community and any other pertinent information about the surrounding community.
  • Having a strong knowledge of the plan mix for the community program outline.
  • Being familiar with all community spec-home inventory, standard specifications, options and upgrades, current stage of construction and possible completion month.
  • Meeting with the Sales Counselor to determine plan, lot and feature levels, then preparing a start memo with completed interior design work so a spec start can occur in a timely fashion.
  • Being familiar with all build-to-suit clients, their plans and the progress of their homes.
  • Showing inventory homes to prospective buyers as needed.
  • Maintaining an adequate supply of all marketing materials and office supplies.
  • Being familiar with procedures to acquire any and all necessary supplies.
  • Having an adequate number of information packets ready to hand out at all times.
  • Assisting the Sales Counselor with lead management and entering registration cards into LMS system and assigning proper follow up.
  • Maintaining the Sales Counselor’s filing system, all contract documents and the processing of same, i.e.: contracts, specifications, change orders, bust-out forms, etc.
  • Maintaining current house files.
  • Maintaining accurate spec inventory in the MLS system, web page and other inventory outlets.
  • Assisting the Sales Counselor and Sales Associate with submitting all sales contract packages to the appropriate home office, Construction Managers, designers or loan officers prior to each Monday morning.
  • Supporting the construction team by typing letters, making copies, reproducing house files to send to the appropriate home office, faxing information, etc. when all sales office duties have been completed.
  • Contacting buyers and vendors to assist with appointments during the building process, on an as needed basis.
  • Helping the Sales Counselor prepare an accurate Closing Objectives report and provide copies to all participants in the weekly subdivision sales/construction meeting.
  • Assisting in coordinating closings, including scheduling closing times with the Title Company, realtors, construction staff, etc. and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete and on time.
  • Being available from time-to-time to work at Realtor functions, luncheons, community grand openings, etc.
  • Helping the Sales Counselor market the subdivision and generating traffic through approved methods.
  • Having a “lot fit” book available for all lots and plans on the subdivision program outline and inventory homes.
  • Ensuring all “Starts” have all the proper paperwork completely filled out with necessary approvals prior to being submitted to Architecture.
  • Being knowledgeable of the Community’s Architecture guidelines and plan repetition rules.
  • Closing the model in the evening, which includes locking the model(s), turning on exterior lights, visually inspecting the interior for deficiencies, checking window latches for security, arming the security system and locking all doors.
  • Locking all spec-home inventory and taking down “open” signs as required.
