About The Position

The Sales Applications Specialist will assist the Prevent Sales Team with conducting site surveys, measuring equipment for Prevent screens and providing quotes to customers. This position is open to locations throughout the United States as the role will be remote. Permatron, in business since 1957, is a leading provider of air filtration products and a member of the Rensa Filtration family. Our Prevent product line is a rapidly growing area that is particularly popular in the booming data center and telecom markets.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License and Clear Driving Record
Ability to work on and climb ladders
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
Understand technical drawings and diagrams
Ability to evaluate job related safety hazards
Comfortable interacting with HVAC/Maintenance personnel
Experience with or ability to learn CAD software for generating customer drawings
3-5 years of experience selling and/or installing commercial HVAC equipment (chillers, cooling towers, air handlers)
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

50% overnight travel. All travel is company paid.

Responsibilities

Independently visit customer locations to conduct site surveys
Measure equipment for potential Prevent screen installation
Prepare drawings with dimensions from measurements taken
Provide quotes to customers
Teach distributors/new customers how to measure for PreVent as needed
Work with customers via phone or video conferencing to measure projects remotely
Identify new sales opportunities
Work with Permatron Inside Sales Team as needed
Responsible to clearly communicate all open issues with the management team to ensure issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
Responsible for keeping detailed expense reports.
Conduct virtual meetings and application assistance with customers
