About The Position
Nordstrom is hiring for Sales and Support positions in various departments including Women's Apparel, Kids Apparel & Shoes, Shoes, Lingerie, Accessories, and Home. The company is hosting a hiring event on Thursday, August 20th, 2026, from 12 PM to 5 PM at the Somerset Collection store located at 2850 West Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48084. Candidates can attend the event anytime during these hours for an interview, and on-the-spot job offers will be made for most roles. While a resume is not required, candidates are welcome to bring one. The interview process is expected to take approximately one hour. If unable to attend the event, applications will still be considered.

Nice To Haves
- The commission most selling employees receive varies based on the merchandise they sell. Apparel, shoes, and accessories sales typically range from 3% to 14.5%.
- The commission Beauty and Men’s Fragrance sales roles typically receive is 3%.
- This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, which includes frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing and reaching in order to handle merchandise and assist customers.
- Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
- Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, which includes reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
- Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
