About The Position

Nordstrom is holding a National Hiring Day event on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 11 am to 5 pm at the Old Orchard Center store (4937 Old Orchard Center, Skokie, IL 60077). No advance scheduling is required; candidates can attend anytime during the event for an interview. On-the-spot job offers will be made for most roles. The company is hiring for Sales positions in Women's Apparel, Men's Apparel, Lingerie, Kidswear, Active & Shoes, and Support positions in Fulfillment, Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support. The interview process is expected to take approximately 1 hour. Applications will still be considered if unable to attend the event.

Requirements

Sales roles in Women's Apparel, Men's Apparel, Lingerie, Kidswear, Active & Shoes
Support roles in Fulfillment, Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support
Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift, including bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Ability to frequently use hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (for Stock/Logistics Only).

Responsibilities
