About The Position

The Sales and Marketing manager plays a crucial role at Ascension Coffee working cross functionally with CEO/President, Operations, Roastery, Catering, Training, and 3rd party partners to drive sales and brand loyalty for Ascension Coffee. Collaborating with the CEO, this individual devises sales strategies and assesses performance through all sales channels: café, events, and retail sales. Additionally, the Sales and Marketing Manager oversees project management for all marketing initiatives and explores avenues for external sales expansion.

Requirements

  • Restaurant/hospitality marketing experience required
  • 5+ years managing Clients/Vendor Partners
  • Outside sales/CRM experience. Exposure to ecom and digital sales platforms.
  • Avid epicurean- current on food trends and DFW restaurant scene.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated
  • Strong in-person, phone, and written customer communication skills
  • Very detail-oriented, meticulous, and analytical
  • Strong PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and cloud-based equivalents (e.g., Google Docs), as well as CRM systems. Adobe and Canva fluent.

Responsibilities

  • Build a complete understanding of Ascension’s food, beverage, and roasted coffee program.
  • Collaborate with Director of Culinary Innovation re: menu strategy and organize tastings including food costs, recommended pricing, and strategy considerations.
  • Direct and manage the creation and implementation of quarterly Ascension Coffee Menus and Collateral in collaboration with graphic designer, POS partner, Website Consultant and Printer.
  • Analyze product mix and sales data to report on performance and optimize menu engineering/strategy. Monthly tracking and retrieval of guest scores across Yelp and Google inclusive of scores and verbatims. Track competitive pricing to identify market opportunities – semi-annual.
  • Direct and manage social media and content agency to increase followers and improve brand loyalty, including monthly brief, photoshoots (shot list), approving and refining monthly calendar content (captions), answering direct messages, direct influencer strategy/café visits.
  • Work with graphic designer to create collateral related to all retail coffee initiatives including: coffee labels, wholesale partner collateral, signage as needed.
