We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to help us expand our presence, strengthen our business development efforts, and generate new opportunities for growth. This is a highly visible role that works closely with Orchard’s leadership team and provides the opportunity to influence how we position our agency, engage prospective clients, and bring our expertise and success stories to market. The Sales and Marketing Manager will serve as a key connector between Orchard’s sales, marketing, and business development efforts. This individual will help identify and research prospective clients, coordinate outreach, manage lead and pipeline activity, develop marketing content, support public relations and events, and track performance against Orchard’s goals. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable organizing sales initiatives, managing marketing programs, creating compelling communications, and coordinating thought leadership efforts. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, takes ownership of their work, and is excited to help a growing agency build relationships and generate new business. Compensation for this position will include a base salary plus commission for qualified prospects the Sales and Marketing Manager identifies, nurtures, or helps Orchard secure as clients.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience in B2B marketing, business development, sales support, communications, account management, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, content programs, sales initiatives, or business development activities.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and workstreams.
  • Experience using CRM, email marketing, social media, project management, and reporting platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with agency leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable communicating with senior executives, clients, prospects, and industry partners.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take ownership of opportunities from ideas through execution.

  • Experience in advertising, marketing services, senior living, healthcare, professional services, consulting, or an agency environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Orchard’s leadership team to identify priority industries, organizations, and prospective clients.
  • Research prospective organizations, key decision-makers, business needs, industry developments, and potential opportunities.
  • Build, organize, and maintain a qualified prospect database.
  • Document prospect communications, meetings, follow-up activity, and next steps within Orchard’s CRM and sales tracking systems.
  • Coordinate outbound business development efforts, including email campaigns, personalized outreach, introductions, meeting preparation, and follow-up communications.
  • Help develop prospecting strategies and outreach plans for priority audiences, industry events, conferences, and business opportunities.
  • Support proposal development, presentation preparation, case studies, capabilities materials, and other sales collateral.
  • Participate in prospect meetings as appropriate and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Track pipeline activity and provide regular business development updates to leadership.
  • Develop and manage Orchard’s marketing and content calendar in collaboration with agency leadership and subject-matter experts.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase Orchard’s expertise, client successes, capabilities, people, and point of view.
  • Edit, package, publish, and promote thought leadership content, case stories, articles, presentations, and agency news.
  • Manage website content updates, article publishing, case study development, and content organization.
  • Oversee Orchard’s organic social media presence and coordinate publishing and engagement across relevant platforms.
  • Coordinate paid marketing campaigns with Orchard’s internal media, creative, digital, and analytics teams.
  • Draft press releases, media announcements, award submissions, agency communications, and promotional materials.
  • Support webinars, speaking engagements, conferences, sponsorships, networking events, and other industry activities.
  • Help ensure Orchard’s sales and marketing communications consistently reflect the agency’s positioning, voice, and brand standards.
  • Coordinate lead intake, qualification, assignment, and follow-up.
  • Develop and manage prospect nurture programs designed to keep Orchard visible and relevant throughout longer decision-making cycles.
  • Identify opportunities to reconnect with past prospects, former clients, referral partners, and industry contacts.
  • Help move qualified opportunities through the sales process by coordinating communications, content, meetings, and follow-up.
  • Partner with agency leadership to improve the consistency and effectiveness of Orchard’s prospect experience.
  • Track marketing and business development performance, including website traffic, content engagement, social media activity, lead generation, outreach performance, pipeline movement, and conversion activity.
  • Monitor progress against Orchard’s sales and marketing goals and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting systems that provide visibility into agency growth initiatives.
  • Evaluate which industries, messages, content, events, and outreach approaches are generating the strongest engagement and opportunities.
  • Develop recommendations for improving prospecting, lead nurturing, content performance, and business development effectiveness.
