Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Sales and Marketing role.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
  • CRM interaction is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategies to grow market share in new and existing markets and generate brand loyalty.
  • Manage and maintain the RFQ process and database with regular reporting of pipeline activities and trends.
  • Travel to and visits with customers as needed for strategic feedback and relationship building will be required.
  • Supports team with traditional marketing functions, tradeshows, trade associations, public relations, website maintenance.
  • Supports all customer-facing activities of the company including drafting/creating sales quotes and proposals.
  • Assist and support Sales and Marketing Lead generation efforts by leveraging market research and performing early stage prospecting activities.
  • Attend industry-sponsored conventions and conferences.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative functions in support of sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Process orders and quotes from receipt to shipment as they are received, completed or changed.
  • Manage incoming correspondence from customers and the sales department.
  • Generate sales leads by following up sales and sample shipments, and maintaining up-to-date and accurate web content.
  • Communicate freely with Operations, Quality, and other departments to stay updated on product knowledge in order to provide accurate, valid and complete information using company communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Handle customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions in a timely manner, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Serve as backup for Customer Service Representative
