About The Position

Tharp Custom Cabinetry is a family-owned company with over 50 years of experience and is the largest custom cabinet manufacturer in Colorado. They focus on creating dream spaces through superior customer experiences by emphasizing employees, customers, processes, and continuous improvement to deliver the best quality and lead time. The Design + Sales position is responsible for actively pre-qualifying, pursuing, engaging, and closing sales for cabinetry and related products and services. This role specifically targets contractors, design partners, and retail customers, requiring a comprehensive pre-qualification effort and documented reporting of prospects before full sales support is provided.

Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary custom software solutions
  • Excellent customer service, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage several activities at once and make decisions as circumstances change
  • Manage allocated resources such as the Design team to confirm customer requests are captured in drawings and quotes
  • Set and manage customer expectations relating to design, quote, product, and service
  • Advocate for continuous improvement and tight process adherence to deliver quality
  • Complete customer follow-up post project completion to obtain reviews and confirm satisfaction
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents including plans, specifications, and contracts
  • Participate with a Tharp Project Manager for product and customer development and relationships
  • Create and maintain customer lists including management of customer status and yearly cNPS
  • Create and present company sales presentations
  • Complete customer design meetings in any Tharp showroom location
  • Capture customer needs and develop solutions through active questioning and listening
  • Communicate market trends and make recommendations on possible product implementation
  • Ability to develop conceptual drawings and design
  • Capable of multi-tasking to deadlines to meet customer needs and timelines
  • Ability to successfully maintain relationships intellectually as well as technologically
  • Experience in cabinet manufacturing, engineering, and production
  • High School diploma required
  • Previous sales, lead generation, lead development, and customer service experience with a proven track record of closing sales and delivering excellent customer communication are required.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License with a driving record that meets Tharp’s requirements.
