About The Position

Ocean Beauty Seafoods Renton Distribution is in search of a Sales and Billing Support person. You would perform a range of administrative tasks to support the sales department. Answering customer phone calls, dealing with customer service inquiries, arranging sales appointments, providing information to the sales team, creating and processing sales orders, managing customer accounts and performing data entry tasks. Acts as a backup to sales when sales rep is out of the office. Additional billing tasks include entering daily shipping and billing documents into computing system, processing invoices for assigned shift, while providing support to sales, operations and accounting staff. Pay starting between $23.00-$25.00 per hour.

Requirements

A resourceful, detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent negotiation and organizational skills, and sound judgment.
Must be able to communicate well orally, in writing or interpersonally.
Must be able to prioritize tasks, handle constant interruption from telephones and staff, and remain flexible to meet changing priorities on a daily basis.
Must follow through on tasks to completion and adapt well to change.
Must communicate and interact well with others in an often stressful environment, and work well under deadlines.

Responsibilities

Maintains a thorough knowledge of all sales functions.
Assists in daily work activity of sales staff.
Processes orders by telephone, email or mail
Checks orders to include the correct prices, discounts and product numbers and enter them into the DAX system.
Manages the correspondence between the sales team and their clients
Contacts customers daily to promote our products, and performs the services necessary to maintain customer satisfaction, including delivering product as required.
Provides data and reports to help the sales team.
Provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying customer request; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.
Resolves order and inventory problems by investigating data and history; identifying alternate means for filling orders; notifying sales manager and customers.
Runs reports, writes and maintains customer price lists.
Forwards samples by entering request; arranging shipment; notifying customer.
Coordinates all functions as sales expediter with the Shipping Department.
Maintains proper paperwork flow with credits and samples.
Responds to changes productively and handles other duties as required.
Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
Prints orders and pick sheets and distributes to supervisor in a timely manner.
Accurately enters picked and packed quantities into computer, checking for reasonability.
Accurately invoices orders and verifies invoicing against dispatch screen to ensure all shift route orders are invoiced with 100% accuracy.
Properly prepares and attaches shipping documentation for overnight air shippers, and ensures all boxes are tagged and accounted for prior to shipment.
Interacts with sales & customers and must look and act professional at all times.
