About The Position

The Sales Agronomist III will be responsible for managing existing and attracting new customers within the sales territory, assisting customers with proper product selection and use based on agronomic needs, and maintaining and developing profitable customer relationships. This role involves identifying new key customers, understanding their business, determining their needs, and driving the team to achieve sales territory goals and growth. The position also includes managing territory budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, adhering to credit policies, and leading the annual business plan to optimize territory growth and profitability. The Sales Agronomist will implement marketing and sales plans, meet sales goals, network with industry representatives, and serve as the primary customer contact for deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, and custom applications. Additionally, this role involves leading and mentoring team members, reviewing their work, and providing constructive feedback.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Ability to influence sales management to adopt new ideas, practices, and approaches
  • Deep working knowledge of local agricultural crops and market practices
  • Provide clear direction and motivate others
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in working with MS Office Suite
  • Work independently with general oversight
  • Agronomy/Agribusiness degree
