About The Position

We are seeking highly motivated Agronomy Sales Interns at each of our Agronomy locations for the summer months of May to August. Our internship experience will offer valuable insight into the Agronomy Sales profession through mentorship and real-world experiences. This internship is located in Crystal Valley, MN.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program
• Agricultural or Ag retail background
• Desire to serve farmers, agribusinesses and others involved in the agriculture industry
• Willingness to work long hours (weekends and holidays included)
• Basic equipment operation skills
• Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC)

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship experience desired

Responsibilities

• Learn from Crystal Valley’s Experienced Staff, including exposure to products and services, crop scouting, pest identification, agronomic recommendations, and Agronomy and Precision Ag Software.
• Provide First Class Customer Service by engaging with customers, assisting with in-season operations (seed duties, delivery, sorting, product returns), and helping with inventory management and warehouse procedures.
• Engage in Real Life Work Experiences, including field experience with soil sampling, plant tissue sampling, nutrient testing, assisting in aerial application business, assisting with Agronomy plant operations, learning facilities maintenance and equipment operations, and utilizing integrated pest management best practices.
• Attend Internship Networking/Development Opportunities, including training, professional development, and continuing education to sharpen professional development/soft skills.
