About The Position

We are seeking highly motivated Agronomy Sales Interns at each of our Agronomy locations for the summer months of May to August. Our internship experience will offer valuable insight into the Agronomy Sales profession through mentorship and real-world experiences. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in crop scouting, pest identification, agronomic recommendations, customer service, and various operational aspects of the agronomy business.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program.
Agricultural or Ag retail background.
Desire to serve farmers, agribusinesses and others involved in the agriculture industry.
Willingness to work long hours (weekends and holidays included).
Basic equipment operation skills.
Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC).

Nice To Haves

Previous internship experience desired.

Responsibilities

Learn from experienced staff about Crystal Valley's Agronomy products and services.
Work alongside Agronomy Sales to crop scout, identify crop pests, and create accurate agronomic recommendations.
Learn and utilize Agronomy and Precision Ag Software.
Provide first-class customer service by engaging with customers.
Assist with in-season operations including seed duties, delivery, sorting, and product returns.
Assist with inventory management and warehouse procedures.
Gain field experience with soil sampling, plant tissue sampling, and nutrient testing.
Assist in the aerial application business.
Assist with Agronomy plant operations.
Learn proper facilities maintenance and equipment operations.
Utilize integrated pest management best practices.
Attend internship networking and development opportunities.
Sharpen professional development and soft skills.
