About The Position

The Hyatt Place Wilmington Riverfront is hiring a Sales Administrator! The Sales Administrator is responsible for caring for the booked group business, small meetings and internal communication. Coordinate and support all aspects of sales activities including taking initial inquiries, generating leads, proposals, referrals, contracts, blocking space, etc. Provides Sales Manager(s) and Director of Sales assistance in group block and catering revenue goals by developing and implementing strategies for selling available space and hotel rooms to groups and local communities. Complete outside sales calls as directed by Director of Sales. Process proposals and contracts as required and follow up within forty either (48) hours. Process returns of contracts and distribute through proper channels internally. Have knowledge of room rates, packages, discounts, and promotions. Participate in site inspections, familiarization tours, trade shows, and functions within the hotel. Identify the needs of each guest and provide relevant information regarding hotel policies, services, and amenities. Lead internal communication via Event Plans, BEO's, Resumes and all other communication necessary to bridge the group bookings to the operational teams. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, be polite, courteous, and responsive to our guests.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Typing and computer skills required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Availability to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality and/or customer service experience preferred.
