About The Position

Palmer Manufacturing & Supply, Inc., is a U.S.-based leader in the design and production of no-bake foundry and industrial processing equipment. Known for heavy-duty, long-lasting machinery and exceptional service, Palmer offers a wide range of products, including sand mixers, thermal and mechanical sand reclamation systems, molding systems, and complete foundry layout services. Headquartered in Springfield, Ohio, Palmer serves clients globally, with installations across the USA, Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, and Asia. The company operates multiple divisions, including Klein Palmer and Palmer Golf Solutions, and is a Corporate Member of the American Foundry Society. This is a full-time, on-site, administrative role based in Springfield, Ohio. The job scope includes administrative support for our Sales Engineers, creating and revising quotations, maintaining our CRM program, communicating via phone and email, and ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. This role does not make unsolicited calls. Some travel may be required for trade shows, etc. (estimated 5% per year).

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Sales Force program required
  • Proven track record of administrative or assistant experience, with 1-2 years related experience in a professional setting
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Attention to detail is vital
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English); ability to communicate professionally and effectively
  • Self-reliant and self-motivated
  • Ability to work with a team or independently and interact with other individuals within the company to resolve questions
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Trainable and willing to learn
  • Punctual and reliable with a good work ethic; willingness to assist in other areas as directed
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods and navigate stairs multiple times per day
  • Must be able to collect data from various storage locations for processing (i.e., file cabinets) which requires the ability to kneel, bend, reach overhead, etc.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States, pass a background check, and have reliable transportation
  • Possess an unrestricted driver license with an acceptable record

Responsibilities

  • Utilization and maintenance of Sales Force (CRM) program
  • Create and revise equipment and services quotations and orders
  • Administrative support for our Sales team
  • Data entry using varying types of software on company computer
  • Review of customer lists and addresses for accuracy
  • Consolidation of data for report/archiving purposes including production hours, parts costs, manuals, etc.
  • Scan previous equipment orders as assigned for electronic file conversion
  • Phone support and customer calls and other duties as assigned
