About The Position

Clemens Food Group is looking for a Sales Account Manager, Foodservice to drive new business growth throughout the Greater Philadelphia, Delaware, and Southern New Jersey region. In this highly visible role, you'll lead prospecting efforts, secure new chain account placements, and help shape the future growth of one of the nation's most respected food companies. Requirements

  • 5+ years of foodservice sales and/or foodservice distribution experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success developing and closing new business opportunities
  • Experience selling protein products preferred
  • Strong relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Culinary experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to travel approximately 60%, primarily within the territory

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and acquire new foodservice chain customers
  • Develop strategic plans to penetrate QSR, fast casual, casual dining, and non-commercial segments
  • Build relationships with procurement, culinary, supply chain, and executive decision-makers
  • Lead product presentations, demonstrations, and menu ideation sessions
  • Drive new product placements and menu adoption
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through onboarding
  • Collaborate with culinary, marketing, category management, supply chain, and customer service teams
  • Maintain pipeline activity, forecasts, and account plans within CRM systems
  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales, placement, and growth objectives
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to uncover new opportunities
