About The Position

SLB is seeking a Technical Software Sales Representative responsible for executing the regional sales strategy for the Texas Region. This role involves working closely with current and new customers to understand their business needs and recommend solutions that assist them in meeting their productivity objectives and improvements that will maintain and grow sales within the assigned territory. The representative will partner with Software Engineers/Developers to deliver technical presentations, engage in problem-solving through system analysis and data interpretation, and provide written recommendations to ensure optimal customer operations. The role actively sells and supports software innovations and technology to foster long-term business relationships, assists in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, and provides technical support to customers, including resolving complaints and escalating as required. Additionally, the position supports sales forecasting, market data-driven sales strategy, and maintains sales activity data through Salesforce.com. There is also an opportunity to mentor other Sales Representatives and Customer Sales Engineers with a career interest in leading teams.

Requirements

  • Strong sales network within software for artificial lift, with a proven success in acquiring new customers.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to develop sales strategies, analytical and implementation skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills including the ability to present and persuade at the leadership level.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Competitive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company.
  • Experience and Knowledge of Automation, Enterprise Software and IIOT for the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Lift and Well Optimization
  • Familiarity with Oil and Gas control and measurement systems
  • Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drive/Variable Speed Drive integration and control
  • Self-driven motivated
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years sales experience in Oil & Gas segment with strategic connections
  • Strong negational skills
  • Ability to develop effective business relationships
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Salesforce (or other CRM) Experience and Oracle.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with current and new customers to understand business needs and recommend solutions that assist the customer in meeting their productivity objectives, and improvements that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory.
  • Partner with Software Engineers / Developers to deliver technical presentation that provide solutions to the customers through XSPOC or other software solutions.
  • Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
  • Actively sell and support software innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with SLB.
  • Assist in developing strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers, including plant or facility executives
  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer complaints, escalating as required.
  • Support sales forecasting and market data driven sales strategy.
  • Maintain and updates all sales activity data through Salesforce.com.
  • Mentor other Sales Representatives and Customer Sales Engineers, with a career interest in leading teams.
