About The Position

As a Sales & Account Management Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting business development and client relationship activities while developing skills that will prepare you for a career in sales or account management.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in Sales and/or Account Management as a possible career path
  • Ability to work 30 hours per week from June to August 2027 & 10 hours per week from September to December 2027
  • Graduating between December 2027 and May 2029
  • Must live within a 3-hour radius of Madison, WI and be willing to travel to headquarters from June to August
  • Attend the summer intern program kickoff and retreat (June 1-4, 2027), and final intern presentation (Late July/Early August)
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from Quartz, now or in the future
  • Access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (Salesforce)
  • Familiarity with healthcare administration systems such as Epic (Health Link)
  • Skills in business communication and professional relationship management
  • Data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills
  • Meeting facilitation and stakeholder engagement
  • Project management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Understanding of renewal strategy and customer retention processes

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales (20%) and Account Management (80%) teams with day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives
  • Assist with client and broker communications, meeting preparation, and follow-up activities
  • Analyze customer, renewal, and prospect data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Generate reports using business systems and tools
  • Participate in client, broker, and internal meetings
  • Assist in preparing materials for customer renewals and account reviews
  • Maintain accurate information within Salesforce and other business systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
  • Present a “mock” member presentation about Quartz products
