The Group School Sales and Account Management Emerging Talent Program is a full-time, dynamic, 3.5-year rotational program designed to develop individuals entering the healthcare business industry into future leaders. As a member of this program, you will learn the art of selling, relationship development and management, and about the broad variety of healthcare benefit products we offer. You are also provided opportunity to apply your knowledge and learned skills in real-life scenarios with guidance and mentoring from our leadership team. The program provides you with rotations across a variety of business units such as Underwriting, Sales Support, Plan Sponsor services and more, allowing you to: Gain comprehensive insights into the underwriting business by working on diverse cases, enhancing analytical skills and knowledge in underwriting principles. Contribute to field strategy by developing content for new capabilities within RFP responses. Develop a broad understanding of how our organization delivers exceptional value to clients and ensures operational excellence. Refine client centric sales acumen, client relationship management skills, and strategic thinking by directly interacting with clients and driving market initiatives. Participate in leadership development opportunities such as networking, solution-focused business projects and career coaching and feedback. You will gain valuable work experience and participate in One six-month rotation and three 12-month business exposure experiences across Commercial and Specialty Market segments Formal classroom and on-the-job training Projects that contribute to the success of our business Community service and culture initiatives Interaction with senior and executive leaders Active mentorship through the program with our sales leaders and program alumni Top-tier product training on our broad portfolio of healthcare benefit packages.

Requirements

  • Meet educational requirements (see education section)
  • Must live or be willing to relocate to Hartford, CT
  • Must be willing to relocate to a designated office hub if business exposure experiences or final position requires it
  • Must have successfully completed corporate internship program

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or work experience supporting Sales, Account Management, Marketing or Underwriting functions of an organization or group area.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, or sports
  • Project management experience. Examples include leading a school or work-related project from start to finish
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
