About The Position

WESH 2, the NBC affiliate in Orlando, FL is looking for a Sales Account Associate. This is an entry-level position that serves as a sales training program designed to develop candidates into Sales Account Executives. The primary focus is to learn all aspects of local television sales while nurturing natural sales abilities. All members of the sales team, under the guidance of the Local Sales Manager, will contribute to the training and success of the Sales Account Associate. The role reports directly to the Local Sales Manager.

Requirements

Ability to handle the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent social, intrapersonal, and presentation skills.
Must be focused and organized.
Proficient in Excel (ability to maintain complex spreadsheets).
Must possess an enterprising spirit with the goal of becoming a media sales account executive within 9-12 months.
Related military experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Assist in the development of sales proposals, advertising packages, and client presentations.
Create supportive marketing materials for the sales department.
Prepare proposals based on account executive requests.
Communicate with internal teams (sales, production, finance) and external clients regarding campaign performance and delivery.
Enter and maintain all orders, including electronic transfer and maintenance of WOCentral orders to WideOrbit.
Manage the sales database.
