About The Position

ADESA sale day drivers drive vehicles from their staging areas on the lot across the auction block and return them to their points of origin throughout the shift and during live auction events. The role reports to designated managers and supervisors and involves safely moving, staging, and parking vehicles in the correct lot areas. The schedule is Wednesdays only.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements.
• Basic reading and number comprehension skills to understand lot organization, safety, and directions.
• Ability to drive a variety of makes, models, and sizes of vehicles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud environment.
• Effective interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to operate a vehicle with a standard transmission.
• Automotive or auction experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles across the auction block while following safety guidelines, including wearing a seatbelt, placing the vehicle in park or neutral when stopping, and following the ADESA wedge.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
• Immediately advise a supervisor or lane captain of breakdowns and maintenance needs.
• Operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
