About The Position

Sale Day Drivers move vehicles through auction lanes while the car auction is in progress. The role is scheduled one day per week, every Tuesday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and pays $17–$19 per hour. Drivers operate vehicles across the auction block, move and stage vehicles in the correct lot areas, and follow company safety policies and procedures. The position involves working both indoors and outdoors in varied weather and environmental conditions.

ADESA is a Carvana-owned company operating more than 50 locations across the United States. Its auto auctions provide vehicle services such as repair and reconditioning, auction remarketing, and market-hub distribution. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors in any type of weather conditions.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles across the auction block while following safety guidelines, including wearing a seatbelt, placing the vehicle in park or neutral when stopping, and following the ADESA wedge.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
• Immediately advise a supervisor or lane captain of breakdowns and maintenance needs.
• Learn, know, practice, and follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Operate motor vehicles safely and use conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
• Immediately report to a manager or supervisor anything that may jeopardize the ability to operate a motor vehicle physically or legally.
• Immediately report all driving-related incidents to a manager or supervisor, including citations, warnings, accidents, or mechanical problems, whether on or off the job and on private or public property.
• Perform other job-related duties and follow other job-related instructions as assigned.
