About The Position

This is a hands-on, field-based internship that provides meaningful exposure to occupational safety within a warehouse and distribution center operation. In this role, the Safety & Workers’ Compensation Intern will make an impact by partnering directly with an on-site Safety Specialist at one of our distribution center locations, while also gaining visibility to broader safety strategy under the guidance of the Sr. Director of Safety. This opportunity allows students to apply academic learning to real-world safety practices, support daily safety initiatives, and gain practical experience in a fast-paced operational environment. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting core safety programs, including facility assessments, procedure development, and Workers’ Compensation processes. The role is structured to ensure the intern leaves with practical experience and a portfolio of tangible deliverables that demonstrate real-world impact. As an intern, the duration of this role is for a defined period of approximately 8-10 weeks from your start date. Depending on business needs, this timeframe may be adjusted at management’s discretion. There may also be an opportunity to be considered for a full-time position if one becomes available; however, this is not guaranteed!
