About The Position

The Trainer will be responsible for providing departmental Safety and Training expertise and support for approximately 275 temporary associates. This role involves driving safety as the number one priority, serving as a role model, and performing various safety-related tasks such as quality BBOs, 4-Step Problem Solving Sessions, creating and updating Work Standards, and performing weekly safety gembas. Additionally, the Trainer will adhere to standard training course guidelines, including OSHA-required safety training, LOTO authorized training, powered industrial equipment certification, platform-specific safety and GMP training, and job-specific certification. They will train and certify trainees, document all training activities, ensure training files meet standards, and provide coaching to all associates. The role also includes assisting in developing training standards and supporting site-wide communications related to policy changes and deployment. The Trainer may also serve as a witness for counseling sessions and create other communications as instructed by Leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Drive SAFETY as the number one priority for MAU at K-C.
  • Serve as a role model of Safety.
  • Perform a minimum of 5 quality BBOs weekly.
  • Use Second Obligation to help keep the Team Safe.
  • Assist the Platforms by leading or assisting with 4-Step Problem Solving Sessions as needed.
  • Create and update Work Standards using Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Create training videos based off of the Working Standards.
  • Perform weekly safety gembas.
  • Adhere to standard training course guidelines, including OSHA-required safety training, LOTO authorized training, powered industrial equipment certification, platform-specific safety and GMP training, and job-specific certification.
  • Train and certify trainees according to established standards.
  • Document all training activities, including updating training matrices in Teams and recording details in Bullhorn.
  • Ensure training files meet standards, including accurate completion of 30-day, 90-day, and annual reviews.
  • Provide coaching to all associates.
  • Assist in developing training standards for departments and sites.
  • Assist with site wide communications related to policy changes and deployment.
  • Serve as a witness, when required for attendance, work performance, and conduct counseling sessions.
  • Create other communications as instructed by Leadership.
