The Safety Technician will promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture among all site and field personnel. This role involves assisting with the administration of PCI’s Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures, on jobsites and at the branch through utilization of safety resources such as training and mitigation of unsafe practices. The technician will represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities, assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards, and ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and in accordance with client requirements and expectations. The role also includes coaching employees to achieve compliance with accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating potential safety health hazards, conducting job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance, investigating and evaluating injuries and illnesses for the project site, and conveying a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of PCI. Additionally, the Safety Technician will evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
