About The Position

The Safety Technician supports Global Power Components’ commitment to providing a safe, compliant, and high-performing manufacturing environment. This role enhances safety processes across GPC’s large-scale fabrication and assembly operations. The Safety Technician helps ensure regulatory compliance, reduces workplace risk, and reinforces GPC’s culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-Hour training (or willing to obtain).
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
  • Willingness and ability to work across shifts, including weekends as required.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver consistent and effective safety messaging across all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to identify and assess potential hazards.
  • Implement safety plans and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Assist with training sessions for employees on workplace safety procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with Investigation of workplace accidents to determine the cause and make recommendations for future prevention.
  • Assist with maintaining records of workplace safety incidents and track progress on implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Promote safe work behaviors on the production floor and reinforce a strong safety culture.
