The Safety Summer Associate supports the health and well-being of craft workers and team members across Clark jobsites. Working alongside safety and operational leaders, the associate gains hands-on field experience advancing company safety policies, programs, and procedures and promoting Clark’s 24/7 “Culture of Care.” The role is part of a full-time, immersive Summer Associate Program lasting 8–10 weeks and beginning in late May or early June. Associates are embedded with a jobsite team or department and receive training, mentorship, and development opportunities. The program also includes social events, jobsite tours, formal training sessions, a team-based Capstone Project presented to company leadership, and the Passport Experience, a curated series intended to introduce associates to Clark’s business and construction industry. The work combines active construction-site duties with office work. Jobsite conditions may include varied weather, moderate to loud noise, elevated or confined areas, uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, hoists, and moving mechanical equipment. The role involves frequent standing and movement, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting or carrying materials up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Office duties may involve prolonged sitting for computer work, document review, and meetings. Extended hours may be required, particularly during critical project phases or client deadlines. A pre-employment fitness-for-duty screening is required, and employees are subject to quarterly random fitness-for-duty tests.
